THE STORY

The fortress world of Regium has a proud history. While others have fallen to ruin and damnation, it has endured through the millennia, steadfastly defending the Imperium of Mankind. But now it is being shaken to its foundations. Parasitic plagues are rampant, and its inhabitants dream of terrible monsters feasting on their flesh and bones.

Lieutenant Castamon of the Ultramarines knows the signs of an impending Tyranid invasion all too well. The battle-hardened veteran gathers his warriors and sends a strike force to the edge of the system to destroy the xenos before they reach Regium. But this new tentacle of the Leviathan Hive Fleet proves to be unpredictable and dangerous, so Castamon and the First Company must summon all their skill, strength and zeal to avoid complete annihilation.
